Halloween took a wrong turn.

Trip or Treat throws pumpkins, witches, ghosts, skeletons, a suspiciously intense black cat, and enough psychedelic Halloween chaos into one design to make a normal jack-o'-lantern deeply uncomfortable.

Bright, bizarre, spooky, and gloriously unhinged, it's for anyone who prefers their Halloween with a little more what the heck am I looking at?

Gary was supposed to design a peaceful fall scene. This is what we got.

The Completely Unnecessary Backstory

TRIP OR TREAT
Product Development would like to clarify that this was supposed to be a peaceful autumn scene.

Gary was working late in Product Development when he remembered the slice of pizza he'd brought from home.

This was unfortunate.

Earlier that morning, while rushing to get to work, Gary had grabbed some mushrooms from the refrigerator and thrown them on the pizza without looking particularly closely at the container.

They were, according to Gary, "the regular mushrooms."

They were not the regular mushrooms.

At approximately 8:17 p.m., Gary began work on what was supposed to be a tasteful autumn design featuring pumpkins, a scarecrow, some fall foliage, and perhaps a charming farmhouse in the distance.

By 8:43, the scarecrow had disappeared.

By 9:06, the pumpkins had developed eyes.

By 9:28, a witch was flying across an enormous orange moon, a ghost had materialized, the farmhouse had become deeply concerning, and Gary was arguing with a black cat about "creative differences."

The cat reportedly won.

At 10:14, Gary emailed the finished artwork to the entire company under the subject line:

TRIP OR TREAT. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.

Karen found him the next morning asleep under his desk with a purple marker in one hand and half a slice of pizza in the other.

The design was immediately rejected.

Then someone looked at it again.

Then someone else wanted one.

So now we're selling it.

Gary has been asked to label his food.

Gary has also been asked to stop designing after 8 p.m.

Neither policy is expected to help.
